Sales Executive

PHYSICAL ADDRESS:

PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • To achieve total budgeted sales and individual product targets for the assigned territory and to represent the Company in the highest professional manner.
  • To adhere to Company policies at all times.
  • To attain proportionate regional sales targets.
  • To exceed present Company turnover.
  • To maintain and grow profitability by adherence to Company pricing policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To sell on an entirely exclusive basis, the Company's range of products as directed by management strategies.
  • To develop close relationships with all orthopaedic surgeons and allied personnel on the territory.
  • To provide, or arrange to be provided all of the necessary training in the use of Zimmer products, but never to assist in any surgical procedure or patient intervention.
  • To follow up any leads or visits, as directed by the Regional Sales Manager, in a timely manner.
  • To adhere to divisional sales strategies under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager.
  • To devote adequate time to acquiring the necessary knowledge of Zimmer and competitive products required for him/her to be effective.
  • To undertake other duties such as attendance at sales meetings, exhibitions, staff training etc. when required by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • To adhere to divisional pricing policy, unless permission has been received in writing from the Vice President, Northern Europe.
  • To ensure that all samples or instrumentation assigned to the individual are cared for adequately.
  • To take part in stock checks of FOC instrumentation and consignment stocks as and when required.
  • To provide on a weekly/monthly basis a report to the Regional Sales Manager, outlining performance, activities and competitive situation.
  • To provide forecasts and market research information to divisional management as and when required.
  • To commit adequate expenses and resources to cover all orthopaedic hospitals within the territory on a regular basis.
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time within the scope of this Job Description and qualified by prior training or experience.

KEY COMPETENCES:

EEXPEREINCE:

  • Minimum 2 years selling experience in healthcare industry.

EDUCATION:

  • Educated to minimum Standard 12 level or equivalent.
  • Preferably business degree or equivalent.     

Customer Service Executive

Tasks and activities of this job are:

ORDER ENTRY

  • Receive, prepare and record order information         
  • Process and edit customer orders to ensure accurate information is processed onto the computer           
  • Obtaining the appropriate authorisation for special prices and free of charge orders           

RELEASING

  • Release all orders not in credit hold.  Contact Credit Control to release all orders held
  • Check and sort pick-slips to be sent to the Warehouse
  • Allocate and release backorders when received
  • Allocate and release monthly standing orders
  • Maintain and run computer-generated reports

INTERNAL CREDITS

  • Research and obtain paperwork for returned goods
  • To issue accurate information by way of internal credit notes, details of any products returned to the company
  • Obtain signatures from the correct authority and send the paperwork to Credit Control

JOINTLINE

  • Taking, logging and booking of Jointline orders
  • Ensuring that collection/delivery schedules are adhered to
  • Ensuring that correct charges are made
  • Identify areas of weakness and recommendation for improvement

INSTRUMENT/IMPLANT PROCESSING

  • Taking, logging and booking of FOC, consignment and SPR's
  • Ensuring that these are actioned and delivered in a timely manner when complete
  • Liaise with the sales force regarding the administration of same
  • Allocate and release back orders when available

GENERAL

  • Maintain good customer relations by efficient handling of orders/queries either by telephone, mail or fax
  • Liaise with Marketing, Distribution and Production to interpret policy and progress product availability
  • Filing
  • To identify customer needs and ensure the company is represented in a business like manner

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • As and when required, to undertake the despatch of external mail
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time within the scope of prior training or experience qualifies this job description  and the jobholder

Qualifications:
