Origin
Cerasul, Zimmer’s ceramic-on-ceramic coupling, was used clinically for the first time in 1998. Cerasul was manufactured using the HIP process and was laser marked. Close co-operation with the best-known ceramic manufacturers continues to lay the foundations for top quality products.
Inlay philosophy
The modular construction of the implant provides the advantage of combining materials according to their specific strengths. With the standardised inlays, there is a free choice of the tribological pairing with the same cup.
